About the Role
Working within a passionate and dynamic team, this role will manage the Local Nuisance and Litter Control program. This is a newly created position which focuses on the management of the Local Nuisance and Litter Control Act. The role will work closely with a number of key stakeholders across the Development Services and Community Safety directorate of Council including, Building, Planning, Natural Environments, Waste Management, Community Safety and Environmental Health. The position works under limited direction to achieve program outcomes that meet Council requirements as the principal authority for dealing with local nuisance and littering.
Your passion and commitment in protecting residents of Mitcham from local nuisances will be pivotal to your success as a valuable contributor to the Community Safety team's services.
As this role is highly customer focused you will have excellent communication skills as well as demonstrated skills in effective conflict resolution and positive problem solving outcomes.
You will be self-motivated, creative and innovative with the ability to adapt to changing and conflicting demands.
Effective time management and organisational skills with a focus on positive customer experiences will ensure your success in this position.
A DCSI clearance and unencumbered Australian Driver’s Licence is essential.
